Santa Teresa Gallura is a small city located in the North of Sardinia, the most northen city on the mainland. Founded in 1801 by Vittorio Emanuele I,who dedicated it to his beloved wife Maria Teresa, the city replaced Longosardo, enjoying its privileged position: the most advanced point of the mouths of Bonifacio. The town is dominated by the Longosardo Tower, a true symbol, erected at the behest of Philip II of Spain.
